Founded in 2011, the Anime Culture Society (ACS) is a premier non-profit organization in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, dedicated to promoting cross-cultural learning and understanding. Through engaging programs, community outreach, and vibrant local events, the society works to educate the public on diverse cultures, fostering goodwill and mutual appreciation through the lens of popular media and entertainment.
The organization’s flagship event is Anime Milwaukee (AMKE), recognized as Wisconsin's largest anime convention. This annual three-day celebration brings together thousands of enthusiasts to explore anime, manga, Asian culture, music, and gaming. Featuring educational panels, interactive workshops, and the highly anticipated cosplay contest, the event provides a platform for fans to deepen their cultural understanding while celebrating their shared passions.
Beyond entertainment, the Anime Culture Society is deeply committed to community enrichment and philanthropy. Since 2016, ACS has hosted a formal charity ball during its annual convention, raising vital funds and awareness for local Milwaukee charities. Driven by a dedicated board of directors and passionate volunteers, the society continues to build a welcoming, educational, and impactful cultural hub in the Milwaukee area.
