## Spinning Handiworks Description
We are an Indigenous-owned family business based in Madison, Wisconsin, offering handmade products from across the Americas and beyond. For over 20 years, we’ve proudly shared the timeless artistry of our culture while living far from our llakta (homeland) in Ecuador.

We are the Kichwa-Otavalo, the Mindalaes people, who are known for spreading our art, music, and handmade products wherever we go. For us, this is not a business; this is a way of life. By sharing and trading our own handmade products, we keep alive our aboriginal wisdom and strengthen our Indigenous roots in spite of being thousands of miles away from our mother country.

We offer all this with a great collection of colorful shawls, warm alpaca sweaters, and genuine articles like ponchos, rebozos, dresses, and trousers made of pure alpaca and sheep wool. We trade in handmade jewelry—necklaces, earrings, bracelets—made from natural stones, beads, leather, and seeds like tawa. We also have well-designed bags like backpacks, purses, and wallets made of leather, wool, and other green products.

While most of our products are hand-made by our friends and family, as well as the Ecuadorian artisan community, we also deal with our family friends from India and Thailand. They give us handmade clothing articles, such as dresses, pants, and blouses, that are hand-worn by their own families and communities.

Every product we offer carries with it a history of resilience, culture, and belonging. To purchase from our family business is not just to acquire a product—you're also acquiring a legacy of craftsmanship, sustainability, and pride in Indigenous culture. Yupaychani, thank you for being here and for assisting us in keeping our traditions alive.
